The Acura Integra is a compact car that was first sold in 1985. It first made its debut in Japan, but only a year later in 1986 it was also available in North America. Before production of the Acura brand was stopped in 2006, there were a total of four generations of cars manufactured. Each generation had several trims, styles and engines available, including the three door hatchback, five door hatchback and four door sedan. In 1998 and 2000, the R trim of the Integra was sold and this car was unique since it came in either yellow or black and had a coupe body style.
Although it is known under the Acura brand name, it is actually a Honda. The first model of the Integra to come out on the market was a sport style hatchback that targeted buyers looking for luxury or high quality brands. This model was very successful, because it offered similar quality and performance to imported German cars without the high price. Acura cars also came standard with many amenities and were known for the strong engines, despite the fact that the engines only had four cylinders. The Acura Integra was well liked by many drivers, because it was comfortable to drive and had good street handling.
